Helena Foulkes Defeats Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee in Democratic Primary

Former CVS executive Helena Foulkes defeated Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee in the Democratic primary, according to projections. McKee is the first sitting governor nationwide to lose a primary in eight years. Foulkes had criticized McKee's handling of a bridge closure that caused major traffic disruption.
