Serbia election upset

Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic conceded defeat in parliamentary elections to a student-led opposition movement, the Student List, after nearly two years of protests against perceived corruption and authoritarianism. The snap election saw near-70% turnout, the highest since the break-up of Yugoslavia in 1992. Vucic, who had held virtually absolute power for 14 years, said, "It is clear that we have lost these elections."
