Sean Grayson, Ex-Deputy Who Killed Sonya Massey, Dies in Prison

Sean Grayson, the former Illinois sheriff's deputy convicted of second-degree murder for fatally shooting Sonya Massey in her home in 2024, died in prison on Sunday while serving a 20-year sentence. His attorney confirmed the death. Grayson, 32, had been diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in 2023 and was undergoing treatment.
