FBI Arrests Woman Accused of Spying on Taiwan President's Family for China

The FBI arrested Wanying Zhang, also known as Heather, at Los Angeles International Airport as she was departing for China, accusing her of acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government by surveilling the son and family of Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te at the behest of Chinese officials. Lai condemned the alleged operation as a "barbaric" act and criticized China for disregarding human rights and suppressing personal freedoms.
