Tropical Storm Bertha Threatens Gulf Coast

Tropical Storm Bertha, the second named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, formed on Monday and strengthened in the Gulf of Mexico, threatening the U.S. Gulf Coast. Storm warnings stretch from Florida to Louisiana, with storm surges up to 4ft possible along parts of Louisiana and Mississippi, forecasters said. The storm was moving slowly toward the Florida Panhandle and Alabama, bringing heavy rain, flooding risk and possible tornadoes.
