UK-Saudi Houthi defense response

UK sends jets to Saudi Arabia as Houthi attacks cancel investor summit

Saudi Arabia cancelled its 2026 'Davos in the Desert' investment conference amid escalating Houthi attacks from Yemen, and the UK is deploying fighter jets to help defend the kingdom. Britain said R.A.F. Typhoon jets will protect Saudi infrastructure from missiles and drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthis. Riyadh postponed the flagship conference until 2027 and ordered government staff to work from home.
