US-Iran Hormuz Clash

U.S. forces struck two Iranian launchers on Iran's Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz, saying the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was preparing to deploy sea mines. Iran said the attack killed civilians and responded by targeting U.S. bases in Jordan. It is the first known U.S. strike on Iran since late July and the first exchange of fire between the two countries in about a month.
