USS Lincoln homecoming

The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group returned to its homeport in San Diego, California, on Thursday, ending a record deployment of about 10 to 11 months. The deployment included 265 uninterrupted days at sea and support for U.S. military operations against Iran. Reports during the deployment cited supply shortages and deteriorating morale and mental health among the crew. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth greeted the carrier, and Rep. Sara Jacobs, D-Calif., discussed the return with NPR.
