West Bank settlement trade bans

The UK, Canada and France have moved to ban trade with Israeli settlements in the West Bank. British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband accused "settler terrorists" of "ethnic cleansing" with Israeli government tacit backing. Israel closed the UK consulate in East Jerusalem in response. Australia declined to join the sanctions, drawing criticism from Labor party members who urged Foreign Minister Penny Wong to respond more strongly.
