Appeals Court Blocks White House Ballroom Construction

A U.S. federal appeals court has blocked construction of President Donald Trump's $400 million White House ballroom, ruling the White House lacks authority to unilaterally build the 90,000-square-foot project without congressional approval. The National Trust for Historic Preservation sued after the Trump administration tore down the East Wing. Trump said the administration will appeal to the Supreme Court.
