NYTimes – Business DOJ withdraws subpoenas for New York Times journalists
The U.S. Justice Department is withdrawing subpoenas that sought grand jury testimony and phone records from New York Times journalists, after a federal judge sharply questioned the government's handling of the demand. The Times had moved to block the subpoenas, calling them an attempt to intimidate the press over reporting on security concerns about President Donald Trump flying on a Qatari-donated Air Force One.
