Zverev US Open victory

Alexander Zverev of Germany defeated American Ben Shelton 6-3, 7-6 (7-2), 5-7, 6-2 in the US Open men's singles final to claim his second career Grand Slam title. The victory denied Shelton a chance to become the first Black men's champion since Arthur Ashe in 1968 and the first American men's winner since Andy Roddick in 2003.
