J.C. Penney, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May, released its list of store closures on Thursday, including nine, of which five are in Northeast Ohio. The store closures, listed in a bankruptcy court filing, include a total of 154. Two are in Akron, and one each in Alliance, Ashtabula, and Parma. California tied with Ohio with the most store closures on the list with nine, followed by Indiana and Florida with eight, and seven closures apiece in Georgia, New York and Texas. A…
