Gyms and entertainment venues around the state will remain closed after the North Carolina legislature failed Wednesday to override any of Gov. Cooper's recent vetoes. Cooper vetoed eight bills last week, including five related to reopening businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. One of the bills that Cooper vetoed was a second attempt by the General Assembly to reopen gyms and fitness centers.
