Army chief to visit Siachen this week

In his first outstation visit after taking over as the Army chief on December 31, General Manoj Mukund Naravane will be visiting the Siachen Glacier-Saltoro Ridge region facing Pakistan as well as Daulat Beg Oldi opposite the Line of Actual Control with China. Gen Naravane will be visiting the areas for a first-hand assessment of the operational situation on Thursday and Friday.
