'How long can detentions continue': SC questions J&K on plea challenging Mehbooba Mufti's house arrest

The Supreme Court on Tuesday observed that detention cannot be forever and asked the Centre whether former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's detention be extended beyond a year.
