Uttarakhand: Yashpal Arya’s return to Congress likely to benefit party in SC seats

The return of Yashpal Arya, a prominent Dalit leader with a strong voter base in Kumaon and Garhwal, is being seen as a major gain for the Congress as it had performed miserably in the 13 reserved seats in the 2017 Uttarakhand assembly elections. Out of 13 SC seats, the party could win only two.
