Golden day for Assam as Lovlina Borgohain becomes world women boxing champion

As Assam lass Lovlina Borgohain bettered her Australian contender Caitlin Parker on Sunday evening to become the world women's boxing champion in the 75-kg category, the whole of the state, particularly her native village, Baro Mukhia, in Golaghat district, erupts in celebration with chief minister Himanta Biswa leading the long list of well-wishers and supporters congratulating her.
