Crop output estimate system being revamped

The issue was flagged by the finance minister, as deficient rains could impact kharif crop production. In the past, wheat and other crop estimates have been inaccurate, resulting in the government intervening to control prices. The government aims to minimize this disparity through triangulation of data and expects results in the next one to two years.
