A heart transplant was successfully conducted using the Delhi-Mumbai expressway as the transportation route. The heart was harvested from a brain-dead donor at Sir Ganga Ram hospital in Delhi and transported to a private hospital in Jaipur. The aerial route was unavailable due to VIP movement for the Rajasthan CM's oath taking ceremony. The heart reached its destination in four hours by road, creating a "green corridor" for the ambulance. The recipient, a 43-year-old with end-stage heart failure, is now in stable condition after the transplant.
