Tourists disappointed as thick blanket of fog envelopes Taj Mahal

Tourists in Agra were dismayed as the Taj Mahal disappeared behind dense fog due to winter chill. Reduced visibility prevented visitors from seeing the ivory-white marble mausoleum from the Royal Gate and the Lady Diana Bench. Traffic movement on highways and major roads was affected till afternoon. The Agra region will continue to experience thick fog in the morning and evening for the next five days. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Agra was recorded at 132, with particulate matter 2.5 being a prominent pollutant.
