'Quit India': Disillusioned, more youngsters attracted to foreign shores

The craze among the youth in Haryana to go abroad for greener pastures has increased this year, emulating its neighbouring state of Punjab. Many gullible youngsters in Haryana are falling prey to travel agents, losing their money usually earned through the sale of ancestral lands. From April to December, around 600 cases of immigration fraud were registered, leading to the arrest of more than 500 persons. The data also revealed that around Rs 4.75 crore was recovered by the police in these cases.
