Indian embassy staffer in Moscow ‘spying’ for ISI held

27-year-old embassy official from the Indian embassy in Moscow, who had returned to his hometown of Hapur for a family wedding, was apprehended by Uttar Pradesh's Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) on Sunday. Satendra Siwal, assigned by the Ministry of External Affairs as a security assistant in the Russian capital in 2021, admitted to participating in "anti-India activities" during questioning in Meerut. He now faces charges of spying for Pakistan's ISI.
