U.S. Stocks Close Mixed After Seeing Initial Weakness

After pulling back sharply at the open, stocks fluctuated over the course of the trading session on Monday before eventually ending the session mixed. The tech-heavy Nasdaq surged up to its best closing level in well over two months, while the S&P 500 ended the day nearly flat and the Dow closed in negative territory.
