(MENAFN - Saudi Press Agency) Cairo, May 24, 2021, SPA -- The Arab Parliament has condemned a hostile Houthi terrorist attack with explosive-laden boat in the south of the Red Sea which the forces of Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen have succeeded in thwarting and confronting it. In a statement today, the Parliament warned that Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia continues to threaten maritime shipping lines and global trade in the Red Sea which is one of the most important waterways in the world, using explosive-laden boats, considering those practices that are a flagrant challenge to international charters and laws, as a cowardly terrorist act that represents a serious threat to the movement of international trade, security and peace. The Arab Parliament called on the international community and the UN Security Council to take a firm stand to deter these terrorist practices that undermine the security and stability of the region and the world, which Iran stands behind and plays a fundamental role in these attempts by providing weapons and missiles to the Houthi militia, which poses a threat to local and global maritime security, as the Iranian regime is planning to threaten international shipping lines. The Arab Parliament praised the vigilance and competence of the coalition forces, being led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and their success in confronting and thwarting all terrorist attacks launched by Houthi terrorism, whether on land or at sea. --SPA 16:20 LOCAL TIME 13:20 GMT 0024 MENAFN24052021000078011016ID1102128229
