Northern Ireland women’s football team skipper Marissa Callaghan believes the 2022 World Cup should not have been held in Qatar due to the country’s human rights record and insists, had she been in the position of other international captains at the tournament, she would have worn the rainbow armband, regardless of potential sanctions, to send out a “powerful message”.
