Due to heavy rainfall from Typhoon Haikui, schools, subway stations, and offices in Shenzhen, China have been shut down. The China Meteorological Administration predicts that the heavy rain will continue until early Saturday. Videos show residents wading through knee-deep floodwaters and rescuers dealing with overflowing manholes. Shenzhen experienced the highest amount of rainfall in 12 hours since records began in 1952.
