Trump Rejects Iran's Hormuz Cease-Fire Proposal
US President Donald Trump rejected an Iranian proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days and resume nuclear talks in exchange for lifting the US naval blockade of Iranian ports. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had said Friday that normal maritime traffic could resume within seven days if conditions were met.
