Indiana Power Outage

Thousands of residents in northwest Indiana, including Gary, remained without power nearly two weeks after storms struck the region on Aug. 11. The storms killed at least seven people, displaced about 1,000 and caused record flooding. Indiana Gov. Mike Braun called on the local utility to match residents' urgency, while full restoration was not expected until the following week.
