NYTimes – US Thousands in Indiana Still Without Power Two Weeks After Storms
More than 10,000 residents in northwest Indiana remained without power on Aug. 24, two weeks after storms struck the region on Aug. 11. The storms killed at least seven people, displaced about 1,000 and caused record flooding. Gov. Mike Braun called on the local utility to "match the urgency" of residents in Gary, where full restoration was not expected until the following week.
