Israeli Strikes in Southern Lebanon Kill at Least Nine

Israeli strikes on a southern Lebanese village killed at least nine people, including women and children, Lebanon's Health Ministry said. Israel stepped up attacks targeting Hezbollah after capturing a strategic ridge last week, raising fears of a prolonged occupation of Lebanese territory and jeopardising a US-brokered ceasefire. The IDF said it targeted Hezbollah infrastructure in response to an attempted attack on its troops.
