Jaguar Land Rover to cut 4,000 UK jobs

Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed plans to cut around 4,000 UK jobs over two years through a voluntary redundancy programme aimed at saving £1.7bn. The UK's biggest carmaker cited Chinese competition, US tariffs, the transition to electric vehicles and the fallout from a major cyber-attack. A government minister has ruled out a taxpayer bailout but is due to meet JLR's boss and union leaders.
