Why Is Facebook Collecting Data On Non-Users
During a hearings on Wednesday Mark Zuckerberg revealed that social media platform Face Book collects data on people who don't use the social network.
Zuckerberg attributed the collection of that data to their desire to keep track of people who often attempt to access the service, on the off chance that someone could be trying to improperly gather user data.
Zuckerberg also admitted that facebook targets non-users with ads, even if they never consented to the practice.
Representative Ben Luján (D-NM) drilled Zuckerberg on how many data points the social network collects on each user, citing reports that it could be up to 29,000.
