COVID-19 causes high school seniors to miss memorable events

High school seniors expressed frustration after their memorable events were canceled due to COVID-19.

Is becoming a long list of cancelations due to covid-19.

41nbc's tanya modersitzki spoke with a senior who says ... she just wants everything to go back to normal.

What's supposed to be the last hoo-rah with prom and senior trips before venturing off to college and adulthood ..

"ive got kids who have lost their last fbla state conference their last musical their last prom all of that their senior trip to universal and thats tough" are now memories ..

That high school seniors weren't anticipating.

"it's emotional because all of our senior trips got canceled i was suppose to go to fbla state which is international competition canceled grad bash canceled..

Prom."

The covid-19 pandemic caused schools across the country to close ..

And move to an online learning platform.

Howard high senior harley yopp, says she's been looking forward to her senior year.

"it's difficult for every student but seniors we've been waiting for senior prom some of us since elementary school and watching on tv when we were kids watching the girls get dressed up and being able to walk across thar stage."

Teacher morgan jarvis says he knows the class of 20-20 is a strong group of kids, and this will pass.

"when they look at it in a year from now theyre goign to be at their first college football game or walking across the campus wherever theyre going i think theyre going to look back c1 3 b13 at this and realize what theyve gained from it and a greser appreciation for things" graduation is still up in the air.
