The hamilton county health department is reporting 9 new cases of covid-19 today, with no new deaths.
The health department is saying 31% of its positive cases are epi-linked.
That's when the patient has been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive for covid-19.
69% of the cases are community spread.
Hamilton county has seen people in 52% of its cases recover.
The health deparment also released a heat map today of covid-19 patients, and their locations.
"this heat map represents the density of covid-19 patients in hamilton co., you can see here that the hotter areas are at the bottom of the map then at the top of the map that's because there is a highter density of population on the southern part of the county.
But what is more important to note, is that there are cases across the entire county."
The health deparment was previously holding off of on releasing the heat map to the public in order to protect the privacy of patients.
Since there are so many cases now, health officials say privacy is not as much of an issue.
If you are experiencing covid-19 symptoms, make an appointment with a physician for drive through testing.
