Knew he had to go to the hospital.
A couple of days later she took me to the hospital here in crawfordsville.
Then they sent me to lafayette and they told me right when i got there they were going to intubate me.
Watkins was transferred to franciscan health in lafayette where he stayed for two weeks.
While in the hospital, he was put on oxygen the entire time.
Now, weeks later, watkins is on the road to recovery.
His wife, lee ann, says they are thankful for all of the support.
We just want to thank everybody for all of their prayers and everything they were doing for us.
It meant everything to me and it meant the world to me.
Watkins says he is still dealing with fatigue, but he feels much better.
He says he is thankful for all of the nurses and doctors who took care of him.
