A mysterious illness*likely tied to covid-19 -- is growing in indiana.

Four young hoosiers are now being treated in the circle city for "multi-system inflammatory syndrome."

It a condition where different organs can become inflamed -- including the heart - lungs - or*even eyes.

Health officials do not yet know what causes the illness.

But under the diagnosing guidelines put out by the c-d-c -- children must have had covid-19 or test for antibodies related to the virus -- to officially have the syndrome.

The condition mirrors -- the rare - kawasaki disease... (sot: dr. james wood/pediatric infectious disease physician)"in general we will see kawasaki throughout the year it is usually not though in big clusters of four of five kids at a time.

Every now and again that does happen but in general it is a couple every week or so."

A warning for parents to watch out for symptom -- including abdominal pain -- rash - bloodshot eyes -- your child feeling extra tired -- or a fever, parents -- should seek*emergency care*if your child is showing these warning signs of the syndrome -- trouble breathing -- blue-ish lips or chest pain that does not go away.

With the
