Owen D. Young Central School holds parade for Senior Class of 2020

Wednesday evening was special in Van Hornesville, as the Seniors from Owen D.

Young Central School were honored with a parade.

Young central school district were honored with a parade.

It all started next to the school in van hornesville, and traveled through jordanville, paines hollow, starkville, and then ended back at the school.

The seniors were escorted by the van hornesville fire department, and herkimer county sheriff's office.

This year was different for the ody class of 2020, as all their senior events were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However the community still had something nice, for this year's seniors.

"it's something nice for the seniors to kind of experience since we didn't get to do our picnic or our senior trip.

"it's a little something for them.

They've been cupped up, and they didn't get to have a prom, they didn't get to have a senior trip so let them have something."

There were 21 seniors in ody's class of 2020 that were honored in the parade tonight.
