A woman is dead and police are searching for the suspect after a shooting on Fort Wayne's east side Wednesday afternoon.

A woman is dead tonight after witnesses say a man shot her outside a home on fort east side.fox 55 caleb saylor spoke with neighbors who heard the shots and saw the suspect drive away live from the scene with the details.caleb?police are still looking for the person responsible for killing a women outside this home here on clarmarnic drive, just off of state street..
Neighbors i spoke with say it was shocking to see and hear the crime as it happened.
Michelle briles was enjoying the sunshine in her backyard about 5 o'clock tonight when she heard it.
"what i heard was a male's voice shouting or saying to someone get out, basically get the f???
Out.
Then i heard a gunshot, another gunshot and then two more gunshots as i was getting up to go into my home."
Officers responded to this house on clarmarnic drive and found a woman with gunshot wounds lying at the end of the driveway.
Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.jason lambert had just got home from work when he heard the shots, he came out to see a man leaving the scene.
"gentleman down here at the end of the street was in a black suv, jeep cherokee, and he was in the driveway.
He made a dash for his truck, got in his truck, backed up out of the driveway, sped up and come down this way.
He seen me standing in my garage, so he knew i was looking at him, so he stopped, rolled his window up so i couldn't see him because he's got tinted windows and then he took it on two wheels out of here so i couldn't see his license plate."once the jeep was gone, lambert and another woman rushed to the scene, shocked by what they saw.
"i was the second one to walk up on her.
There was another younger lady standing there and...people wonder why everything is the way it is right now.
I know she didn't do anything to anybody to deserve what happened to her."other neighbors shocked as well, happening so close to them, in broad daylight noless "no, not in a million years would i expect this in my neighborhood or any neighborhood, actually."
No arrests have been made in the shooting as fort wayne police are still trying to gather information about the suspect.
