The Turning Stone Resort and Casino recently updated their health and safety plan for its gaming venues, but are they following all the rules?

Recently updated their health and safety plan for its gaming venues.

Newschannel 2's kirk tupaj tells us what those updates are, and if they're being followed.

The turning stone resort and casino is implementing a new "safer together" policy.

In addition to the cdc recommendations, 100% face coverings are required for the gaming room floors, and smoking has been temporarily prohibited.

Residents from 19 states reporting high infection numbers will not be permitted to enter any of the venues.

I spoke with joel barkin who's the vice president of communications about the new requirements.

.

None .

None sot: joel barkin, vice president communications management is monitoring it incredibly closely and of course we correct any actions of any employee not wearing a face covering.

Like i say, it is our number one health and safety measure is insuring for our employees and for our guests that people are wearing face coverings and they're wearing them properly.

For the privacy of the quests, i wasn't permitted to record video on the gaming room floor, but i was encouraged to observe any areas open to the public.

There were a few quests wearing masks incorrectly, however the vast majority were not only wearing masks, but social distancing.

Several employees were cleaning extensively, and those having contact with the public were wearing gloves.

I did stop to ask one guest who was smoking if anyone had asked him about his face covering and the cigarette.

His response was no, but he had just walked in from outside.

Sot: joel barkin, vice president communications we've had to excuse many people from the property right.

From our security we have very detailed protocols on how we deal with this, and it's not just do they have it, are they wearing it properly, are they covering their mouth, are they covering their nose, have we had to ask them more than once to put the face covering back on properly, but there have been instances.

Sot: kirk tupaj there are going to be some people that don't follow the rules, but it does appear the turning stone is using all the best safety practices to prevent the spread of covid 19.

In verona, i'm kirk tupaj reporting for newschannel 2.
