RPS wants help with name of new school

Rochester Public Schools is asking for suggestions for what to name its new elementary school.

Of their next phase of development.

As you can see, construction is underway here at the new location.

And the school district is asking for the community's help in naming this school.

One member of the community tells me this will be a good thing.

Children are our greatest resource.

And anything that helps them is wonderful.

Anyone that lives, works at, or attends a school in the district may vote.

If you want to suggest a name, the district asks you follow three guidelines.

It should be based on a name of someone who's had a positive impact on the community, a historically significant location in rochester, or be of specific significance to the school district.

If you want to submit your vote ?

"* make sure to do so by november first.
