The Wildland Fire Interagency Geospatial Services (WFIGS) reports the Sandy Valley Fire is now 1,500 acres.
The Bureau of Land Management says the cause of the fire is human and under investigation.
UPDATE: Sandy Valley Fire now 40% contained, almost 1,400 acres
The Sandy Valley Fire has been mapped at 1,381 acres and is currently 40% contained.
