Alex Jones ordered pay $65.4 million in punitive damages by Sandy Hook trial jury

US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones must pay the parents of a 6-year-old boy killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre $US45.2 million ($65.4m) in punitive damages for falsely claiming the shooting was a hoax, a Texas jury has decided.
