Dyadic International Inc (NASDAQ:DYAI) told investors Monday that it is pleased with the preliminary results from its ZAPI animal study. The firm said that initial results from the study indicated that Dyadic’s C1 antigen showed strong performance in protecting cattle and mice from the devastating Schmallenberg virus, which causes congenital malformations in certain animals. The positive news means ZAPI is expanding the scope of Dyadic’s involvement in the program. Dyadic expects to get more funding from the ZAPI consortium to support the production of two additional targets. Hillcrest Petroleum Ltd (CVE:HRH) (OCTMKTS:HLRTF) announced Monday it has appointed Aaron Triplett as its chief financial officer and corporate secretary. Triplett is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), and has accumulated experience in the field of financial management and accounting, specializing in forecasting, compliance and risk management, and the development and monitoring of control systems, the company said in a statement. Most recently, Triplett served as CFO of Grande West Transportation Group Inc (CVE:BUS), a Canadian manufacturer of mid-sized multi-purpose transit vehicles for sale in Canada and the US.  Dunnedin Ventures Inc (CVE:DVI) (OTCMKTS:OCPFF) CEO Claudia Tornquist told shareholders that 2019 was a transitional year for the Vancouver firm, which now has three advanced copper-porphyry projects with “significant” discovery potential. In a letter to shareholders, Tornquist said the company seized the opportunity to capitalize on market sentiment shifting in favor of copper porphyry assets over diamond exploration. The firm's recent focus has been the MPD copper-gold porphyry project, from where newsflow has been encouraging. “The samples from Dunnedin's drill program are currently in the lab and assay results are expected this month,” said Tornquist. “We are optimistic about this early round of drilling.” Ceylon Graphite Corp (CVE:CYL) (OTCMKTS:CYLYF) announced that long-time graphite expert and c-suite executive Don Baxter has joined the board of directors. Baxter is one of the premier graphite experts outside of China, having built one of only two producing graphite mines in North America. He is currently CEO and director of Applied Graphite Technologies Corp. Baxter has also served as president, CEO and executive director of Alabama Graphite Corp, successfully completing the company’s disruptive Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) and introducing a new, battery-focused strategy. “Don brings to Ceylon experience, ideas and capabilities we cannot find anywhere else,” said Ceylon Graphite CEO Bharat Parashar. “Now that we are in commercial production, we will benefit from his expertise as we invest to ensure we have top quality upgraded graphite for the growing lithium-ion battery market.” Golden Arrow Resources Corporation (CVE:GRG) (OTCMKTS:GARWF) has renegotiated its option agreement with the owner of the Indiana gold-copper project in Chile, the company said Monday. The Indiana Project represents a near-term production target with upside potential and includes a permit for mining in the area of a historic resource with two ramps allowing access for exploration and development, the company said in a statement. Golden Arrow said it now has the right to earn 100% of the project over a 74-month period, expiring in December 2024, and the total cost of US$15.1 million has not changed. Capstone Turbine Corporation (NASDAQ:CPST) has completed significant upgrades to its International Remanufacturing Facility (IRF) in the UK. The facility, located in the southern English city of Gosport, was opened in 2011 as a hub for field service engineers to provide remanufactured parts for its turbines. Now, as the expansion of its distributor network has ended the need for on-site engineers, the operation has been retooled as a turbines system test facility. Work has been ongoing since 2016, the company said, and on December 18, Capstone opened the new facility alongside its UK distributor Pure World Energy. RNC Minerals Corp (TSE:RNX), the Western Australia-focused gold miner, has bolstered its board with the appointment of Chad Williams as a director. Williams is the chairman and founder of Red Cloud Securities, and has extensive experience in mining finance and management, having previously been CEO at Victoria Gold Corp, the head of mining investment banking at Blackmont Capital Inc and a top-ranked mining analyst at TD Bank and other Canadian brokerage firms, said RNC. Great Panther Mining Limited (NYSEAMERICAN:GPL) (TSE:GPR) announced Monday that it has entered into a US$11.25 million gold doré prepayment agreement with a subsidiary of multinational conglomerate Samsung Group. In consideration of delivery and sale of approximately 3,000 ounces of gold contained in doré per month over a two-year period from Great Panther’s Tucano Gold Mine in Brazil, Samsung C&T UK Ltd has agreed to advance the prepayment. Great Panther said the gold deliveries will be sold at a 0.65% discount to the benchmark price of gold at the time of delivery and will be used to offset repayments of the advance, which are scheduled to occur between 11 to 24 months after the date of the advance. GlobeX Data Ltd (CSE:SWIS) (OTCMKTS:SWISF) has signed a new reseller agreement with a Toronto-based cybersecurity firm that will provide small businesses with GlobeX’s proprietary data protection technology.
