Election round-up: Hagerty, Cooper win contested primaries

Bill Hagerty has won the hotly contested Republican U.S. Senate primary over Manny Sethi. As WPLN News reports, Hagerty is favored to win November’s race for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Lamar Alexander. He will face Memphis activist Marquita Bradshaw, who topped Nashville candidates Robin Kimbrough Hayes and James Mackler in the Democratic primary.
