Kin Mining NL (ASX:KIN) has extended the Cardinia Hill discovery within its Cardinia Gold Project (CGP) in WA at depth and to the north with further strong results from drilling. Results have been received for five reverse circulation (RC) holes as part of the company’s ongoing phase-3 drilling program. The results have further refined geological understanding of the deposit and highlighted the presence of two north-plunging shoots of higher-grade mineralisation within the main lode. Best results include 15 metres at 1.97 g/t gold from 150 metres, 9 metres at 1.92 g/t from 24 metres, 10 metres at 1.05 g/t from 139 metres and 10 metres at 2.67 g/t from 149 metres. More assays expected Managing director Andrew Munckton said the follow-up phase of RC drilling had been successful in improving the scale of the deposit and providing a solid foundation for planned resource drilling. “We are continuing the systematic approach to exploration that has proven to be so successful to date as we advance a number of targets in parallel across the broader Cardinia area," he said. “Investors can look forward to regular updates as we receive assay results from RC drilling across the Helens East, Pelsart and Cardinia Hill prospects. “We are also looking forward to receiving further results from the extensive air-core program at East Lynne, building on the encouraging results reported from the northern end of this large gold target earlier this week and the EIS co-funded diamond drill holes at East Lynne testing some conceptual geophysical targets at depth.” Results to underpin maiden resource estimate The RC program at Cardinia Hill was designed to test the down-plunge extent of the northern high-grade shoot of mineralisation prior to the start of infill drilling to 40 x 40-metre spacing at both the northern and the southern shoots to underpin a maiden mineral resource estimate. Drilling intersected consistent ore grade mineralisation down to a vertical depth of approximately 125 metres below surface and provides a strong basis for targeting the resource definition. The diamond core is being processed on-site.
