Bay Area app builder Retool is a breath away from unicorn status

Retool received a $50 million Series B round, the company said Tuesday in a blog post. That round yielded a valuation of $925 million for the San Francisco-based app building tool startup, Bloomberg reports, a hair away from achieving unicorn status of $1 billion. Last year, Retool raised a $19.5 million Series A round, and in 2017 it secured a seed round of approximately $150,000 with a valuation of $1.7 million, according to PitchBook.
