E2 Metals Ltd’s (ASX:E2M) assay results from its 2021 drilling campaign at the flagship Conserrat gold and silver project in Argentina’s Santa Cruz province has returned high-grade silver. Scout drilling within the Emilia prospect defined a new zone of shallow high-grade silver mineralisation with lesser gold. Best results include 9.5 metres at 375 g/t silver and 0.4 g/t gold from 49 metres including 2 metres at 630 g/t silver and 0.5 g/t gold from 49 metres. The mineralisation is within a new structure untested by previous drilling, which is 5 kilometres north of the Mia prospect. Potential along corridor Results also highlight the potential for further high-grade mineralisation along the Veta Blanca-Emilia vein corridor that has a measured strike of 2.5 kilometres. Conserrat is host to new greenfield gold and silver discovery and epithermal vein field centred around 25 kilometres along trend from AngloGold Ashanti’s Cerro Vanguardia mine that has current reserves of 8.9 million ounces of gold and 137 million ounces of silver. Mineralisation is open in all directions and will be immediately followed up with further drilling The company expects results to further confirm that Conserrat is a new epithermal vein district within a world-class gold and silver mining province. Potential for high-grade mineralisation E2 Metals managing director Todd Williams said: “The recent results from Emilia are significant not only because it is a new discovery for the project, but it also underpins the potential for high-grade mineralisation elsewhere within the Veta Blanca-Emilia vein corridor that extends for over 2.5 kilometres strike and remains poorly tested by drilling. “Importantly, mineralisation is hosted within a ‘blind’ structure that is adjacent to the main topographic ridge under shallow colluvium cover, confirming what we already suspected – the best-mineralised veins at Conserrat may not be the most obvious ones.” Emilia drilling Five holes for 697 metres were completed at the Emilia prospect to test a prominent bend where the orientation of the Emilia trend changes from west-northwest to northwest. Recent sampling within the structure returned rock chip values of up to 16.4 g/t gold and 981 g/t silver. Three holes were drilled on one fence central to the peak rock chip gold and silver anomalies. The southernmost hole intercepted shallow high-grade silver mineralisation, including 9.5 metres at 375 g/t silver and 0.4 g/t gold from 49 metres, including 2 metres at 630 g/t silver and 0.5 g/t gold from 49 metres. This is the first evidence of high-grade mineralisation within the Veta Blanca-Emilia trend where scout drilling is ongoing.
