Providence mayor mandates Covid vaccine for city workers

All Providence city employees will soon have to show proof of vaccination against Covid-19 if they want to keep their jobs. Mayor Jorge Elorza on Tuesday announced that municipal workers must show proof of at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine by Jan. 14 and show proof of both doses, or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, by Feb. 28.
