Deloitte flags Adani Port transactions citing lack of review

Auditor Deloitte Haskins & Sells has issued a qualified opinion on Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd’s accounts due to insufficient disclosure of transactions with three unrelated parties. Deloitte claimed it could not confirm the parties were unrelated as the company refused to get an independent external examination. This marks the first time a top auditor has cast doubt over Gautam Adani’s empire citing allegations from US short seller Hindenburg Research.
